This trip not only celebrated Rizal’s contributions but also helped us understand his significant impact on Philippine history.

Landmark 置地廣塲 – The first place Dr. Jose Rizal landed in Hong Kong, marking the start of an important chapter in his life.
Duddell Street Steps and Gas Lamps – A favorite spot of Dr. Jose Rizal, it is a place that evokes historical ambiance and serves as a popular filming location.
No. 5 D’Aguilar Street – The location of Dr. Jose Rizal’s clinic where he practiced ophthalmology. He lived and worked there with his family during his self-imposed exile in Hong Kong from 1891 to 1892. He established the clinic with the help of his friend, Dr. Lorenzo P. Marquez.
No. 2 Rednaxela Terrace – Dr. Jose Rizal’s home during his stay in Hong Kong, a place for reflection and planning for reform.
Hong Kong Cemetery – The burial site of Josephine Bracken, his beloved partner, highlighting the personal sacrifices linked to his mission.
Dr. Jose Rizal stayed in Hong Kong twice. The first time was for two weeks in February 1888, during which he studied Chinese culture. He returned in November 1891 and lived there until June 1892. A time focused on his push for social reforms and his strong dedication to the rights of the Filipino people. His experiences in this lively city shaped his thoughts and actions, which ultimately influenced the Philippine Revolution.
