Manila, Philippines | July 31, 2026 — HQ Company Chief Executive Officer Yongsoo Samuel Cho, accompanied by Colonel Thony Joy J. Dalangin Jr. (Tjay Dalangin), Chairman of the Defense Acquisition System Assessment Team (DASAT) for the Joint Tactical Combat Vehicle Project, paid a courtesy visit to General Allen J. Dalangin, a senior official of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), to discuss opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation and fostering private-sector development.
The meeting centered on strengthening collaboration between South Korea and the Philippines through initiatives grounded in mutual trust and shared interests. Discussions covered potential partnerships in national security, sustainable development, infrastructure, technology, and private investment, with both parties expressing their commitment to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors.
CEO Yongsoo Samuel Cho emphasized the enduring relationship between the two countries, highlighting the importance of transforming longstanding friendship into practical collaboration.
“South Korea and the Philippines are important partners with a long-standing friendly relationship, and we will do our best to ensure that practical cooperation continues in various fields, including renewable energy, infrastructure development, and technology exchange,” Cho said.
General Allen J. Dalangin underscored the vital role of private-sector investment and international partnerships in advancing national development. He noted that continued engagement between Korean and Philippine stakeholders would contribute to stronger economic growth and institutional cooperation.
The meeting reaffirmed both sides’ shared vision of enhancing bilateral relations through public-private partnerships, while creating new opportunities for investment, innovation, and sustainable development. Participants also agreed to pursue continued dialogue and future initiatives aimed at deepening cooperation between the two nations.
The visit is expected to further strengthen the Korea–Philippines partnership by promoting economic and industrial collaboration while reinforcing a network of trust and cooperation among government institutions and private enterprises.
