On 16 September 2024, Philippine Economic Zone Authority Director General Tereso O. Panga and IEK HQ Special Energy Philippines Inc. formalized a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the PEZA Headquarters.

IEK HQ, a company engaged in designing, developing, and funding renewable energy projects, presented plans for multiple solar power plants in the country with a total installed capacity of approximately 7 MWp. These solar facilities are set to power the Baguio City Economic Zone (BCEZ), based on initial assessments and site information provided by PEZA Pampanga.

This project marks a significant step toward energy sustainability within PEZA zones, directly benefiting PEZA and its locators by ensuring a stable, renewable energy supply—reinforcing PEZA’s role in driving eco-friendly investments and supporting the Philippine economy’s transition to green energy sources.
